For a good cause: Tapsoba, Maza and Kofane sell exclusive T-shirts at the Bayer 04 Fanwelt

Save the Date: On Thursday, 30 April, individually designed T-shirts go on sale exclusively at the Bayer 04 Fanwelt as part of the "BarmeniaGothaer gives joy" campaign. In the afternoon, between 14:30 and 15:30 CEST, the Werkself players Edmond Tapsoba, Ibrahim Maza and Christian Kofane will also be at the Bayer 04 Fanwelt - supporting this campaign for a good cause: The Bayer Leverkusen main sponsor will donate the proceeds to the "Fondation Edmond Tapsoba" to put a smile on the faces of people in Tapsoba's home country of Burkina Faso.

It's doubly worth coming along: get one of the limited-edition shirts - complete with the signature of the three Werkself players if you wish - and support a great community initiative at the same time.

The T-shirt is available for €9.99 and is available in all standard sizes - while stocks last. It will be on sale exclusively on Thursday, 30 April, and at the home match against RB Leipzig on Saturday, 2 May, again at the Bayer 04 Fanwelt. Exclusive Documentary from 29 April: going home with Tapsoba

On Wednesday, 29 April, one day before the T-shirt goes on sale at the Bayer 04 Fanwelt, an exclusive documentary on Edmond Tapsoba will be released on Werkself TV and the club's YouTube channel.

At the end of March, a Bayer 04 delegation travelled with the Werkself player to his native Burkina Faso, where Tapsoba provided special insights into his football roots, the culture of the country and the inspiring work of his Fondation Edmond Tapsoba - which will again receive support from Leverkusen with the proceeds from the T-shirt sales.

Bayer 04 Football Academy São Paulo visits Leverkusen

A group of about 50 members of the Bayer 04 Football Academy São Paulo visited Leverkusen over the past few days, accompanied by Bayer 04 club legend Paulo Sergio and Luiz Felipe (managing director of academy in São Paulo) for a week full of football, encounters and very special insights. In addition to the Bundesliga away game in Elversberg and the home game against Union Berlin, the visit also featured a joint training session with the Bayer 04 Football Academy in Leverkusen and a tour of the Bayer AG facilities. The guests also gained special insights into the club and the world of Bayer 04.

The men's clothing retailer LERROS will remain the official fashion and premium partner of Bayer 04 for the current season. As in the past, LERROS will provide the club's men's team, coaching staff and management with high-quality clothing for international trips.

Diaby homecoming caps off big win at the BayArena

“Diaby! Diaby! Diaby!” was the cry around the BayArena as the Werkself danced in front of the north stand following their 4-0 win over Union Berlin. Captain Edmond Tapsoba gave his new (and old) teammate a friendly shove forward to take in the acclaim from the fans. The returning Frenchman was typically reserved in thanking the supporters but was clearly emotional about what was happening.

Werkself thrash Union Berlin 4-0 in first home game

Bayer 04 produced a dominant and impressive 4-0 win over Union Berlin as they picked up three points in their first home game of the 2026/27 Bundesliga campaign. Exequiel Fernández opened the scoring after only 41 seconds, with Facundo Medina doubling the lead before the half-hour mark. Patrik Schick and Ibrahim Maza continued the procession in the second period, in which Moussa Diaby came on for his first Leverkusen appearance for over three years.
