Youth League clash at Manchester City: 'Big challenge we want to tackle in the best possible way'
Will the Bayer 04 U19s take the next step towards their first appearance in the knockout stage of the UEFA Youth League in the away game at Manchester City? Coach Kevin Brok is well aware of this historic opportunity, but he's not about to start worrying about the maths: "We're not concerned with the question of what might be good enough. We invest everything we can and always aim for the maximum. That's our way." The game on this penultimate Matchday 5 of the league phase takes place on Tuesday, 25 November (kick-off: 16:00 CET) at the Manchester City Academy Stadium. U19s suffer first defeat in UCL Youth League at Benfica
For the first time this season, the Bayer Leverkusen U19s were beaten in the UEFA Youth League. After two wins and a draw, Bayer 04 lost 5-0 at Benfica on matchday 4. The goals for the home side were scored by Goncalo Moreira (9’, 40’) and Francisco Silva (43’) in the first half. After the restart, Eduardo Fernandes (48’) and Gil Neves (55’) completed the scoring.

UEFA Youth League - U19s secure 2-2 draw against Paris Saint-Germain
The Bayer 04 U19s produced an outstanding performance despite numerous absentees to take a point against Paris Saint-Germain on Matchday 3 of the UEFA Youth League 2025/26 following on from two wins in the European youth competition. In front of 611 spectators at the Ulrich Haberland Stadium, the Leverkusen side went into the break with a 1-0 lead against the U19 team of the Champions League winners. PSG quickly turned the game around after the break, but the Werkself fought back to remain unbeaten on the European stage with this 2-2 draw thanks to a focussed defensive display.

Youth League home match against Paris Saint-Germain: ‘Be brave but not naive’
The Bayer 04 U19s got their UEFA Youth League campaign off to a flying start with two wins. After the successful duels with FC Copenhagen (2-0) and PSV Eindhoven (3-2), the top team from Paris Saint-Germain now awaits. The home game against the youngsters of the reigning Champions League winners on Tuesday, 21 October (kick-off: 14:00 CEST/livestream on bayer04.de and on the Bayer 04 app), at the Ulrich Haberland Stadium will be a challenge, not least due to several players missing from the Werkself squad - but one that head coach Kevin Brok and his team are happy to accept: "We want to get the maximum out of every game, this time too!"

Estrella Merino Gonzalez wins silver Fritz Walter Medal
Bayer 04 Women’s Estrella Merino Gonzalez has been awarded the silver Fritz Walter Medal at U19 level by the German FA. Named after the 1954 World Cup winner, the medals are given to the best youth players in Germany every year.
