Securitas Sport & Event GmbH, who took over from BaySecur GmbH, a now dissolved joint enterprise of Bayer 04 Leverkusen Fußball GmbH and Securitas, in 2016, is responsible for all control and security duties for Werkself home games at the BayArena. The employees of the firm, whose parent company Securitas AB is based in Sweden, also look after other events organised by Bayer 04. That includes Werkself training sessions and friendlies, press conferences as well as matches played by the Bayer 04 Women's and youth teams.
Under the motto ‘Sound of Dreams - #aCROSS Europe 2025/26’, Bayer 04 are turning this season's UEFA Champions League season into a festival. In addition to a Spotify playlist that fans can use to get in the mood for the Champions League nights, there is also a tour pass with stickers for the respective UCL matches exclusively for Bayer 04 Club members. These could be picked up in the respective weeks of the matches. The sticker for the final clash in the league phase (Villarreal, 28 January, 21:00 CET) is now available at the Fanwelt. The Werkself finally won for the first time in 2026, beating Werder Bremen 1-0 on Bundesliga Matchday 19. Lucas Vázquez scored the only goal of the game after 37th minutes with his maiden strike for Bayer 04. Another reason to celebrate was Exequiel Palacios' comeback after several months out with injury.
