“We want to continue the trend,” said Nadiem Amiri ahead of the home game against Augsburg. “After two wins on the bounce, we obviously want to build on that. But it won’t be a walk in the park. Augsburg will want to make life difficult for us – we’ll need patience, concentration at set pieces and the right balance between attack and defence.”
The full interview with Amiri, facts and stats on the game, the latest information and news about Bayer 04 are contained in the new edition of the BayArena Aktuell matchday magazine.
The magazine is normally available from the concourse at the Bay Arena on matchdays. Even though fans are unable to watch the game at the stadium because of the current high infection rate in and around Leverkusen, the matchday magazine (in German) is still available to Bayer 04 fans. Bayer 04 will continue to make the BayArena Aktuell available as an e-paper during the COVID-19 crisis.

It took exactly 60 minutes for the Werkself to take the lead through a perfectly finished counter-attack by Patrik Schick in the first leg of the 2025/26 UEFA Champions League play-off at Olympiacos. Referring to the meeting in the league phase and the initially squandered opportunities, coach Kasper Hjulmand said afterwards: "I thought: 'Oh no, déjà-vu.'"
