Der Zauberfuß und Freistoß-Spezialist ist technisch einer der feinsten Fußballer in Deutschland. Calhanoglu forgoes wages
Following the four-month ban on Hakan Calhanoglu imposed by FIFA and confirmed by the CAS for a breach of the transfer rules in 2011, the Turkey international and his current employer Bayer 04 Leverkusen have discussed the situation in depth. Calhanoglu has agreed to forego his full wages, including bonuses, for the period of the ban.

Four-month ban for Hakan Calhanoglu
A four-month ban on playing in competitive matches imposed on Calhanoglu by FIFA has been confirmed by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS). That means the Turkey international will not play for Bayer 04 before the end of the current season.

Bayer 04 beat Bochum 2-1 in friendly
Hakan Calhanoglu (8’) and Joel Pohjanpalo (80’) score for the Werkself in the final friendly against second division VfL Bochumat the Haberland Stadium with Görkem Saglam pulling a goal back late on. Bayer 04 impressed in the first half with some attractive moves. Danny da Costa picked up a knock in the second half.
