Blaswich began his professional career with Borussia Mönchengladbach's second team before moving to Heracles Almelo after several loan spells. There, the German became a regular starter and returned to the Bundesliga in 2022 to join RB Leipzig. Initially planned as the second goalkeeper, he replaced Péter Gulácsi, who was seriously injured at the time, in 64 competitive games, including the 2023 DFB Cup final, where he kept a clean sheet and won the title. During this phase, Blaswich was also called up to the DFB squad for four games. After a loan spell at RB Salzburg, he has now returned to his home region.
