U19s lose 1-0 to unbeaten Inter Milan
The Bayer 04 U19 team lost 1-0 to Inter Milan on the sixth and final matchday in the league phase of the UEFA Youth League 2024/25. The only goal of the game was scored just after the hour mark. While the side from North Italy have finished top in the league phase with a maximum points return, the Leverkusen team appeared to have just missed out on the knockout stages of the European competition. There is faint hope looking to several games to follow where results are needed to go the way of the Werkself.

1-0 Youth League defeat – Salzburg win thanks to long-range effort
The Bayer 04 U19s narrowly lost to FC Salzburg from Austria in their fifth match of the 2024/25 UEFA Youth League campaign. The 404 spectators at the Ulrich-Haberland-Stadion saw the side lying second in the table score what proved to be the match-winner from distance before going a man down early in the second half.

Training course at the BayArena on 'Effective coaching in junior football'
A training course for external coaches covering age groups U8 to U13 on 'Effective coaching in junior football' was held at the BayArena this week. The course, with this initial event ahead of a series of training units, was aimed at coaches and sporting management of clubs in the area of Leverkusen. It was very well received.

1-1 at Stade Brest - still unbeaten in the Youth League
Still unbeaten and now with seven points to their name: In the third match of the 2024/25 UEFA Youth League, Bayer 04 U19s earned a point at Stade Brest. In front of 3,000 spectators at the Stade Francis-Le Blé, Kerim Alajbegovic put Leverkusen ahead (24'), but the French side equalised shortly before the break. After the break, Artem Stepanov had the best chance for the Werkself but his shot hit the post and the game ended in a 1-1 draw.
