
Adam joined Leverkusen from FC Rot-Weiß Erfurt in the summer of 2018 and, during his eight years at Bayer 04, he was in charge of various age groups in the youth section. Among other roles, he served as assistant coach of the U19s and head coach of the U17s and U16s. Most recently, he took charge of the U17s from September last year, after Kevin Brok moved up to the U19s following Sergi Runge’s appointment to Kasper Hjulmand’s first-team coaching staff.
Bayer 04 would like to thank Benjamin Adam for his valuable work in the youth development programme and wishes him every success, both on and off the pitch, in his new role at Hansa Rostock.

Bayer 04 Leverkusen have loaned new signing Luca Erlein to newly promoted FC Energie Cottbus for the 2026/27 season. This will give him the opportunity to play in Bundesliga 2. The club signed the 19-year-old right-back on a permanent basis last week, on a contract to 30 June 2030.

Bayer 04 Leverkusen has a new coffee partner. The club has agreed a long-term partnership with the Bocholt-based roastery Imping, running to 30 June 2031. The exclusive partnership with the family-run business includes the installation of fully automatic coffee machines at the BayArena, as well as the right to supply and serve coffee products in the business areas during Werkself home games.
