How have you found your first few competitive games for Bayer 04?
Kramer: "It's been a lot of fun. We'd all been waiting for the season to start for a long time and were pumped up for it, which you could tell in the whole team. We've left everything on the pitch in the games so far. Obviously a win against Frankfurt would've been great, but the effort was there until the end in that game too."
And you got your first assist against Frankfurt as well…
Kramer: "The header from Krissi [Kögel] was fantastic, so I shouldn't take too much of the credit for that (laughs). Nevertheless, it was great to contribute my first goal involvement. Hopefully it's the first of many."
Your predecessor in the number 7 shirt, Cecilie Johansen, also comes from Denmark. Did you speak to each other before your move?
Kramer: "We know each other from the national team, so of course I spoke to her beforehand. She showed me images from the previous season and told me a lot of positive things about the club and the players."
You only had two weeks between the end of the season in Denmark and your first training session in Germany. Was that exactly what you had in mind or would you have liked a slightly longer break?
Kramer: "I had about 10 days' time, which wasn't a lot, especially as I also had to move. In total I probably had three or four days completely free, so I was very glad that we had another two weeks off during pre-season. I could really enjoy that time."
You already caught the eye before the season with four goals in the friendly against Mönchengladbach. Can Bayer 04 look forward to a new goal-getter?
Kramer: "It's certainly my objective here to score lots of goals here and provide assists. I don't have a particular number in my head, I'm just pleased about every goal contribution I can make. I feel comfortable in the Bundesliga so far and know that I'm supported by a lot of good team-mates here."
How eager are you to make your debut for the senior Denmark team? Have you already been in contact with the coach?
Kramer: "I've already been part of the national team twice. The senior team has been a big dream of mine since childhood. When I spoke with the coach, she explicitly advised me to make this switch in order to continue my development."
What do you think is possible for the team and you personally this season?
Kramer: "I always want to achieve the maximum. Why shouldn't we make it into the top three or four? For me personally, it would be nice to be among the top goalscorers, although that's of secondary importance. I want to be on the pitch as much as possible and play my part in our success."
