Women's DFB Pokal: Opening match at Elversberg scheduled on a Sunday

The kick-off time for the Bayer 04 Women's first DFB Pokal 2025/26 tie has been confirmed: As announced by the German Football Association (DFB) on Wednesday morning, the Leverkusen Women will face Regional League SV Elversberg on Sunday, 28 September at 12 noon CEST.

The match will be played at the Waldstadion Betzental in St. Ingbert. If coach Roberto Pätzold's team goes through, the Round of 16 tie will be between 15 and 17 November. The quarter-finals follow on 11 and 12 March 2026, before the semi-finals for the remaining four teams take place from 4 to 6 April 2026. The final will be played on Ascension Day, 14 May 2026, as usual at FC Köln’s RheinEnergieSTADION.

Bundesliga Start in front of record crowd in munich

Before the DFB Pokal tie, the Black and Reds start the new Google Pixel Women's Bundesliga season next Saturday. The game away to Germany champions Bayern Munich kicks off at 17:45 CEST (live on ARD, MagentaSport and DAZN) at the Allianz Arena and is the official opening fixture. Over 50,000 tickets have already been sold - a Bundesliga record. The first home game follows on Monday, 15 September (18:00 CEST) against Union Berlin. Tickets for that match are available HERE.
