Women face Wolfsburg in training camp friendly
A high quality test for the Bayer 04 Women: The team led by coach Roberto Pätzold will play Women’s Bundesliga runners-up VfL Wolfsburg during the training camp in Rieden in Bavaria.
The match will be played on Friday, 22 August (kick-off: 14:00 CEST) at the Stadion Grüne Au in Hof/Oberfranken. The Werkself will be at their summer training camp from 17 to 24 August in nearby Rieden. Information on ticket sales for the match will follow.
Last season, the Leverkusen Women beat the then league leaders Wolfsburg 1-0 in the Hinrunde in the Google Pixel Women’s Bundesliga. The Rückrunde saw the Pätzold team suffer a 3-1 defeat in the final game of the season.

Bundesliga record for the Werkself: Women celebrate 14th win of the season in Essen
The Bayer 04 Women have kept their chance of qualifying for the Champions League alive in the Bundesliga run-in. Coach Roberto Pätzold's team won 4-0 at SGS Essen on Sunday afternoon, improving their record from last season to 14 wins this term. With 43 points, the Werkself equalled another record from the 2024/25 season and at the same time reduced the gap to third-placed Eintracht Frankfurt to two points, at least for tonight. Loreen Bender (4’), Kristin Kögel (41’, 68’) and Cornelia Kramer (89’) scored for the Black and Reds, who dominated the game to record their fourth win on the bounce.
