Eickmann joined Leverkusen from her hometown club SV Alberweiler in 2021. She first played for the Bayer 04 U23 side scoring eleven goals in 44 games. Last season she moved up to the Bundesliga squad but only made two appearances. The former Germany U23 international played nine games this season in the Regional League West (one goal) and appeared for the first team in two matches.
“Due to her limited time on the pitch, Mia is looking for new a challenge at Mönchengladbach," said Achim Feifel, Bayer 04 Women's team sporting director: "We would like to thank her for her commitment and wish her all the best for the future."
Bayer 04 Women end their record-breaking season away at Wolfsburg on Sunday (kick-off: 2pm CEST). Although the Werkself know they will finish the campaign in fourth for their best-ever finish, head coach Roberto Pätzold has called on his team to produce one final big result.
