DFB Pokal: Women entertain Turbine Potsdam in last 16 tie

The Bayer 04 Women's team play newly promoted Turbine Potsdam in the Round of 16 in the DFB Pokal. That was the outcome of the draw held on Monday night. The match will be played between 22 and 24 November with details to be confirmed.

"We are playing a Bundesliga team who we definitely won't underestimate. At the same time, it should be clear that we must have the target of beating Potsdam in front of our own fans to keep our ambitions alive in the Pokal," said Achim Feifel, Bayer 04 Women's team sporting director. The Werkself reached the Round of 16 eight days ago with a 2-0 win at Regional League side Karlsruher SC.

Following on from the Bundesliga Monday night game between TSG Hoffenheim and SC Freiburg, the former European Champion Lena Lotzen made the last 16 draw on the Sky TV programme Nachspielzeit. The new Germany coach Christian Wück led the draw in the studio.

The quarter-final ties are on 11 to 13 February 2025, the two semi-finals will be played on 22 and 23 March 2025 and the final is set for 1 May 2025, again to be played at the RheinEnergieSTADION in Cologne.
