Matysik and Marti on international duty
Two of the Bayer 04 Women’s squad have been called up to their national teams: Sylwia Matysik is in the Poland squad and Lara Marti has been selected by Switzerland.
The Pole Sylwia Matysik is set to play in the final qualifier for the 2022 European Championships, which have been put back by a year due to the coronavirus pandemic. The third-placed team (14 points/7 games) in Group D are away to group leaders Spain (16 points/6 games) on Tuesday 23 February. Poland can still qualify as the Czech Republic (16 points/8 games) in second place have played all their matches and they can be caught with a win.
The Swiss Football Association has had to change plans for the international break. Switzerland were due to play in the Tournoi de France, a football tournament for Women’s national teams organised by the French Football Association FFF. The competition has been cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic. Instead, Switzerland have two friendlies against France in Metz – on Saturday 20 and Tuesday 23 February. The squad meet up for a training camp in Zürich today, Monday 15 February.

The previous Executive Box partner pure.energy has extended their commitment and taken the established partnership with the current German runners-up to the next highest level. DFB-Punktespiel 2.0: Wamser joins DFB grandees Völler, Neuendorf and Frymuth
