'Bring impetus into the league' - New signing Carlotta Wamser interviewed

Winger Carlotta Wamser has joined the Werkself ahead of next season. In a quick interview, bayer04.de speaks to the 21-year-old about her transfer from Eintracht Frankfurt to Leverkusen.
Carlotta Wamser

Nice to have you here, Carlotta. How come you decided to move to Bayer 04?

Wamser: "Leverkusen play a very attractive, fast brand of football. We've seen that regularly this season. That style fits my idea of football very well."

You bring a lot of experience despite your young age. What can our fans expect from you and what kind of person are you off the pitch?

Wamser: "As a player I'm very determined, aggressive and physical. Off the pitch, I'd describe myself as funny, relaxed and sometimes a bit dopey."

How have you been following Bayer 04 up until now and how well do you know your new team already?

Wamser: "I've watched a lot of matches and also know a few players from the U23 national team. The fact that six Leverkusen players were in it most recently alone shows that young players can develop very well here."

What are your goals with the Werkself next season?

Wamser: "I'm looking forward to being on the pitch with my new team-mates for pre-season soon. We want to be challenging as high up as possible and bring a lot of impetus into the league."
