Simon Rolfes, managing director for sport, said of the draw: "I'm looking forward to it. West Ham have a stadium full of atmosphere, and now after Baku we have a short trip to London - which is also nice for our fans. We're playing against a good Premier League side, as we saw against Freiburg. It's going to be a difficult task but we got a feeling last season for what a semi-final in the Europa League means. We're going to give our all to get there."

West Ham finished top of Group A and beat SC Freiburg 5-1 on aggregate in the round of 16.

The first leg will take place in Leverkusen on Thursday 11 April, with the return leg a week later on Thursday 18 April in East London. Tickets for the home match will go on sale on 26 March.
