#B04eSports: Victory to close out northwest division

The 34th and final matchday of the northwest division in the 2023/24 VBL Club Championship by Wow saw Leverkusen’s console team take on Magdeburg. Victory and three more points secured their position in seventh and a subsequent spot in the play-offs for the championship.

Marc ‘MARC_LDW23’ Landwehr and Sean ‘SEAN_LDW07’ Landwehr first faced Muhammed Ali ‘ALIIIG07’ Gencer and Richard ‘REECE_LF’ Schulz in the two-v-two game and ran out 3-2 winners. Marc then prevailed 5-2 over Gencer to wrap up the tie and all three points.

Hoffenheim in play-offs

The VBL Club Championship play-offs will begin on Friday 22 March at the Strassenkicker Base in Cologne. The finals will then be on 23 and 24 March. Bayer 04’s team will be up against Hoffenheim, who finished fourth in the southeast division, from 6.45pm CET.

The following clubs qualified for the play-offs:

  • Northwest: Paderborn, Werder Bremen, St. Pauli, Hansa Rostock, Bochum, Schalke, Bayer 04 Leverkusen, Hamburg
  • Southeast: Mainz, RB Leipzig, Freiburg, Hoffenheim, Bayern Munich, Augsburg, VfB Stuttgart, Hertha Berlin
