#B04eSports: Perfect yield at the start of final showdown

The Bayer 04 eSports team made a great start to the fifth and final showdown in the VBL Club Championship 2025/26! The Leverkusen players picked up nine points in the first three of six matches in the online preliminary round. Victories against VfL Wolfsburg, Eintracht Braunschweig and SpVgg Greuther Fürth not only put the Black and Reds in a good position to progress to the offline round. Valuable points were also collected for the overall table and direct entry into the final event of the German Club Championship.
Marc Landwehr

undefeated in six games

The matchday opened with the game against VfL Wolfsburg. Marc 'MARC_LDW23' Landwehr took on the 16-year-old eSports talent Elias ‘ELIAS’ Eichler, whose first VBL CC season it is, and drew 3-3. Sean 'SEAN_LDW07' Landwehr and Eleftherios ‘LEFTI’ Ilias, the Wolfsburg eSports player had a player in his team who was not permitted under the squad restrictions, the match was ended early in accordance with the rules and a 3-0 score awarded to Bayer 04. The overall victory thus went to the Landwehr cousins.

The matches against Eintracht Braunschweig continued. Luca ‘DER_ERDKLUMPEN’ Rosowski lost 2-1 to Marc Landwehr, who took control of the game from the start, before Sean Landwehr secured the three points with a 6-2 win against Dennis ‘THAA_DEUS’ Erdmann.

SpVgg Greuther Fürth awaited at the end of the matchday. Marc Landwehr gave Manuel ‘MXNUABT’ Albrecht no chance in the first game and won 5-1, while Luan ‘LUBAPPE6’ Waldleitner then lost 2-1 to Sean Landwehr. The next three points were secured.
