
It was the first triple matchday of the season for the Black and Red eSports players. Matchday 13 started at 18.00 CET with a fixture against Schalke 04. As usual, the match began with a 2 vs 2 encounter. Marc ‘MARC_LDW23’ Landwehr and Mario ‘BULJI’ Lovrinovic were on the controllers against the Royal Blue duo of Serhat ‘SERHATINHO’ Öztürk and Fabiano ‘EPIXAL’ Loos. The game ended in a high-scoring 3-3 draw. The following 1 vs 1 brought another draw between Öztürk and Landwehr (2-2) with the decider coming in the third game. Lovrinovic faced Max ‘ANTIMAX’ Eggenkämper and the result was a narrow 2-1 defeat.
Matchday 14 against Hertha Berlin began at 19.30 CET. Landwehr and Lovrinovic took on Hertha’s Tom ‘BISSO__23’ Bismark and Eren ‘ERENPYRZ030’ Poyraz. The Leverkusen duo won 2-0. The following 1 vs 1 between Landwehr and Poyraz was goalless and the third game between Lovrinovic and Bismark ended a 2-1 victory for the Berliners. Matchday 14 ended all square with one point for each team.
The final fixture of the year late in the evening was against Werder Bremen with matchday 15 ending the Hinrunde in the current VBL CC campaign. Landwehr and Lovrinovic started the encounter in a 2 vs 2 against Bremen’s Eleftherios ‘LEFTI’ Illias and Ali ‘PREDATORFIFA’ Rad. The game ended ina 2-1 win for Werder. Landwehr then prevented an overall defeat with a 1-1 draw against Max ‘DIVINERS’ Gröne. Lovrinovic suffered defeat in the final clash with Rad and a 2-0 win saw the three points go to Werder Bremen.
The #B04eSports team end the tear in tenth place. The Rückrunde starts on 10 January with fixtures against Hamburg SV and Holstein Kiel. The match against the Red Shorts kicks off at 18.00 CET and that is followed at 21.00 by the clash with the Storks.

The Werkself consolidated their position among the top teams in the Google Pixel Women’s Bundesliga thanks to a last-minute goal on Wednesday evening. Roberto Pätzold’s team beat Hamburger SV 2-1 at the Ulrich Haberland Stadium. Kristin Kögel (14’) and Caroline Kehrer (90’+5) scored for Bayer 04. The result takes Bayer 04 Women onto 19 points, third in the table behind top two Bayern Munich (25) and VfL Wolfsburg (22).
