The Bayer 04 eSports squad is confirmed for the coming season in the Virtual Bundesliga (VBL). The 20-year-old has signed a one-year contract at Leverkusen and thereby returns to his former club.

‘BULJI’ was a Bayer 04 eSports player last season. The contract with the player from Münster had run out but both parties have now agreed to continue working together.

"I'm absolutely motivated and I will give my all in the coming season to help the team as much as possible," said Lovrinovic at his contract signing. "Bayer 04 have great potential in eSports. I'm confident of being able to establish myself in the VBL and have a successful season with my teammates."

'MARCMON' completes squad

Marc ‘MARCMON’ Fiedler is in the Leverkusen eSports line-up for the new VBL season. He will not only continue as a player but also act as a player manager. Talking about the signing of Lovrinovic, the head of pre-sales and product development B2B Josua Lehr, the department covering eSports, said: "The talks with ‘BULJI’ went very well and there is great appreciation on both sides. We very much value his ability to work in a team and his attitude. With our confirmrd squad for the new season, we are definitely aiming to qualify for the VBL Grand Final."

The discussions on Werkself radio are likely to be just as intense as the battle on the pitch, with commentator Florian Bechholz welcoming honorary captain Stefan Kießling and goalkeeper Mark Flekken.
