The DFB eCup matches are determined according to a best-of-three format. First, there are two one-vs-one clashes. The Leverkusen eSports players Marc ‘MARC_LDW23’ Landwehr and Furkan ‘FURKY’ Kayacik each meet one of the Meppen eSports players individually. If there is no overall winner from these two matches then a third game will be played in a two-vs two format to decide the tie. The winners in the second round go through the Round of 16 (25 May).
The games against SV Meppen will be broadcast live on the twitch channel of the German Football Association (DFB). The Leverkusen eSports team play their opponents from Meppen in Osnabrück. Click here for the live broadcast.
