The club from the Baltic coast are taking part in the official eSports competition for the first time this season. "Hansa Rostock have had an outstanding first season in the VBL so far. We are happy about every club that decides to take part in the VBL and thereby increase the value of the competition," said Florian Dederichs, head of internationalisation and eSports at Bayer 04. After falling behind early on, Bayer 04 took control of the game against a combative and disciplined FC Augsburg on Saturday afternoon. The Werkself had the majority of the ball but fell behind early to Dimitrios Giannoulis and then Anton Kade inside the first half an hour. Despite an attempted fightback in the second half and striking the frame of the goal three times, Leverkusen were left empty handed.
