DFB Cup: Werkself play Paderborn on a Tuesday night

Fixture details have been officially confirmed for the second round of the DFB Cup. The Werkself entertain Bundesliga newcomers SC Paderborn on Tuesday 29 October 2019 with a 20.45 CET kick-off. That was announced by the German Football Association (DFB) on Friday morning.

After the 4-1 victory over Alemannia Aachen in the first round, Christoph Metzelder picked out Peter Bosz's team as the home side last Sunday – and SC Paderborn provide the opposition in the second round. That will bring a rematch of the extremely entertaining first Bundesliga game of the new season against the newly promoted side from East Westphalia- Lippe that saw the Black and Reds win 3-2. Sporting director Simon Rolfes talked of a "very demanding draw" after the draw was completed.
