Fernando Carro, Bayer 04 CEO, and Simon Rolfes, managing director for sport at Bayer 04, spoke after the draw: "I'm glad the new format has been so positively received," said Carro. "It's going to be a fascinating Champions League season and I'm proud that we're in it. I'm especially looking forward to the trip to Liverpool - and of course the games under the lights at the BayArena." Rolfes added: "It's going to be a very challenging European journey with attractive opponents. The match at Xabi's old stomping ground, Anfield, is obviously a real highlight - as are the two games against the Milan teams at the BayArena, although I would've liked to experience one of them at the San Siro."
