Eleven players from the first team were guests in the box of s2, the provider of used Microsoft licences, at the BayArena for the game. The invitation offered an opportunity to combine sporting passion with social responsibility.
The LED boards in the upper tier of the BayArena were also lit up in bright pink for the match. The colour symbolises awareness and support for breast cancer, which affects millions of women worldwide every year. Despite major medical advances in recent decades, breaking down taboos, raising awareness and early detection remain of central importance, and every initiative to increase visibility counts.
With the #Pinktober2025 campaign, s2 and Bayer 04 Women sent a clear message of solidarity, strength and unity. Football offers a platform that extends far beyond sporting competition – a platform that moves and inspires people and brings issues of social relevance into focus.
