The first competitive fixtures for the Werkself have been confirmed by the German Football League (DFL): Bayer 04 start the 54th Bundesliga season with an away game at Borussia Mönchengladbach at 18.30 CET on Saturday 27 August.
The DFL has announced details of the first five league games. Roger Schmidt’s team has three Saturday afternoon fixtures with the first home game against Hamburg SV and the away matches at Eintracht Frankfurt and Mainz 05. The second Werkself home fixture against FC Augsburg is a Wednesday night match at 20.00 CET.
