Robert Andrich joined Bayer 04 in the summer. Signed from Union Berlin, the holding midfielder has impressed fans and coaches alike both on and off the pitch with his competent spirit and desire to win. Andrich will be on the Saturday night sports programme Sportstudio to discuss his first six months at Leverkusen and the targets for the Potsdam-born midfielder with the Werkself in the coming weeks and months.
The German Football Association (DFB) have appointed Daniel Schlager as the match referee. The 31-year-old has previously officiated for Werkself matches (three in the Bundesliga, one in the DFB Cup) – the first match under him was was a victory against Fortuna Düsseldorf in 2020 and that was followed by a draw and two defeats. Schlager did not produce any red cards in those four matches.

Ticket offices will not be open at the BayArena ahead of today's game. However, it is possible to purchase tickets online up to kick-off via the Ticket web shop.

The Schwadbud in the East Stand at the BayArena will remain closed at least to the end of the year. Kiosks around the stadium are available to fans on matchdays. The Schwadbud will unfortunately also be closed for Bayer 04 away games. Here we can recommend the BAX Biergarten opposite the BayArena – the new venue directly behind the Ostermann Arena.

Dmitri Bulykin is today celebrating his 41st birthday. The Russian centre forward played for the Werkself in 2007/08 making 15 Bundesliga appearances and he score two goals and provided two assists. Following the end of his playing career in the summer of 2014, Bulykin went on to be a member of the board at Lokomotiv Moscow. Many happy returns.

The official automotive partner for the Werkself will additionally remain a Leverkusen Premium Partner in the coming 2025/26 campaign as was the case last season.
