The away game at Eintracht Frankfurt was the first in the last three months where his team played "badly" according to Peter Bosz. "We did well before that. Therefore, I hope that performance remains a one-off. We'll do all we can to beat Bremen," declared the Dutchman ahead of the home clash on matchday 15.
After a hectic fixture list over the past months, Bosz had a lot of time after the Frankfurt game to prepare his team for the forthcoming challenge. "We worked on a number of tactical areas," explained the 56-year-old after the "unusually long week of training." Tuesday saw an intensive fitness session in training. Bosz spoke to one or two players individually.
Absent from the training ground this week, in addition to the long-term injuries, were Karim Bellarabi and Mitchell Weiser who are both sidelined for several weeks. Bellarabi fractured his hand in the game against Frankfurt and Weiser suffered a muscle injury. On the plus side, Lars Bender, Daley Sinkgraven and Wendell returned to full training. The defensive trio are therefore an option for the squad against Werder Bremen.
