Strong at home
The Werkself of not lost in the past seven Bundesliga home games with the last defeat coming in a 4-1 reverse against Werder Bremen at the start of March. Six of those seven home games have been one with the other match against Augsburg ending all square at 0-0.
Battle of the strikers: Aubameyang v Chicharito
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is equal top scorer in the Bundesliga alongside Robert Lewandowski with five goals to date – in the last game he scored his 59th goal in his 100th Bundesliga match. Chicharito has already scored four goals this term.
Veterans match: Bayer 04 v BVB
A good reason to arrive early: The Bayer 04 veterans team play BVB at the Haberland Stadium on Saturday. At 16.30 CET, after the BayArena opens, a very strong Bayer 04 Vets team will meet an equally impressive Borussia Dortmund line-up.
Segregation
The sectors between blocks B and C plus H and F will be closed in the upper and lower tier concourses. Access E/F in the lower tier will remain closed until after the end of the veterans game at the Haberland Stadium.
Closure of the A1 Rhine bridge for HGVs over 3.5 tons
There is a road closure ahead of the A1 Rhine Bridge in Leverkusen. Additional traffic congestion is to be expected as there is no comparable experience of the complex closures at the Leverkusen Rhine Bridge. Traffic delays are to be expected in approaching the BayArena.
Schwadbud and beer garden open
While the BayArena opens at 16.30 CET, the Schwadbud opens its doors at 15.00 CET. The SKY Bundesliga programme will be broadcast for all ticket holders. After the top match, the popular W11 Fantalk will be held here. The beer garden is only open to Bayer 04 supporters in the North Stand. It closes at the end of the game.

A bitter end to the fifth showdown of the 2025/26 VBL Club Championship as the #B04eSports team failed to take any points in the three remaining matches of the preliminary online round of the fifth and final showdown, missing out on the offline round. They can no longer take points in the overall table. Bayer 04 slipped out on the top eight, so direct participation in the final event for the German Club Championship is no longer possible, with Bayer 04 having to contest the play-offs.
