As was the case last season, the Werkself’s first home game of the campaign comes against Leipzig. That is followed this year by an international break. Things then resume with Matchday 3’s game away at Hoffenheim (13-15 September).
The first meeting with Bayern Munich comes on Matchday 5 at the Allianz Arena (27-29 September). That is followed by back-to-back home fixtures against newcomers Holstein Kiel and then Eintracht Frankfurt.
Matchday 9 sees last season’s runners-up VfB Stuttgart come to the BayArena (1-3 November). The other promoted side St. Pauli visit on Matchday 13 (6-8 December).
The final Bundesliga game of 2024 sees Freiburg come to the BayArena (20-22 December). After a two-and-a-half-week winter break, action resumes on the weekend of 10-12 January 2025 with a visit to Borussia Dortmund for Matchday 16.
We reach the halfway stage of the season with a home game against Mainz on Matchday 17 (14/15 January). The list then begins to repeat itself with a home fixture against Gladbach (17-19 January).

The Werkself fell to defeat in their final friendly match of pre-season. The Black and Reds suffered a 2-0 (H-T: 1-0) defeat at Chelsea's Stamford Bridge. The hosts scored the first goal early on, with Estevao converting a rebound off the crossbar in the 18th minute. The second half was dominated by numerous substitutions on both sides, but the Blues still managed to increase their lead in the closing stages through Joao Pedro, who made it 2-0 in stoppage time (90’+1).
