Wirtz with minor injury after international against Netherlands

An MRI scan has confirmed that Germany international Florian Wirtz sustained an injury to the joint capsule in his right ankle, without interference from an opponent, towards the end of the first half of Monday evening's Nations League match against Netherlands (1-0).

The 21-year-old is currently being treated in Leverkusen. It's not yet clear when Wirtz will rejoin team training. The midfielder was replaced by Bayer 04 team-mate Robert Andrich at half-time in the Nations League match.
