As things stand, the 2020/21 season will start behind closed doors. At the same time, Bayer 04 are working flat out to be ready for any eventuality and all the requirements from the authorities – and primarily the club is thinking of the health of the Werkself fans but also the well-being of all people who contribute to the successful staging of a matchday on Bismarckstraße.
As it is currently unclear when spectators will be able to return watching matches live, no money will be taken from season ticket holders before the start of the season. If it again becomes possible to allow spectators to attend matches at the BayArena over the course of the season then Bayer 04 will proceed as follows with the reduced capacity at the stadium.
The tickets available will initially be drawn exclusively from season ticket holders who have opted to join in the 'draw option' via an online form. A draw will be held before every home game and the tickets will be charged at the reduced matchday ticket price.
Werkself fans who do not currently hold a season ticket will unfortunately not be taken into consideration at this first stage. Bayer 04 ask for your understanding for the chosen procedure.

The probability of being picked out in the draw is dependent on the available ticket allocation and the number of season ticket holders in the draw.
Supporters drawn out will receive tickets for the matches via email. The ticket can either be produced via the Print-at-Home facility or loaded to a mobile via a QR code. Fans who have more than one season ticket in their subscription will be entitled to have the number of tickets in their subscription if drawn.
Bayer 04 fans, who have decided to support the Werkself from home in the new season, can take a break from their season ticket subscription in the 2020/21 season. Bayer 04 will not make any charges for this and the seat will be held for the 2021/22 season.
All season-ticket holders have received a link via email where they can choose between the 'Draw option' and 'Taking a break'.
As soon as all seats are available again at the BayArena, season ticket holders will immediately have their regular seat again. Only then will the current season tickets priced be charged, obviously only in relation to the remaining games.

Bayer 04 put in a brilliant performance to beat RB Leipzig 4-1 on Bundesliga matchday 32 and are now fourth in a Champions League spot. The Black and Reds took control of the game right from the start and, with 75 per cent possession at one stage, took a 2-0 lead into the break through Patrik Schick (25’) and Nathan Tella (45+1’). The visitors initially tried to do more after the break, but the Werkself remained determined and Schick scored his second goal to increase the lead to 3-0 (76'). The Red Bulls pulled a goal back through Christoph Baumgartner (80'), but the disciplined Leverkusen side were not rattled - and certainly not Schick: The Czechia international crowned a brilliant display with his third goal shortly before the final whistle to make the final score 4-1.

In the previous game against RB Leipzig in December last year, the Werkself turned came from behind to win 3-1 and further improved Leverkusen's already strong record against the Red Bulls. Montrell Culbreath stood out with his first goal on his debut for the Black and Reds. While the 18-year-old would certainly like to score a second goal against Leipzig on Saturday night, the attack-minded visitors come to the BayArena in confident mood after five Bundesliga victories in a row. Video games manufacturer Electronic Arts (EA), together with the German Football League (DFL), announced the top male and female selections for the 2025/26 Bundesliga season this week. Bayer 04 striker Vanessa Fudalla is in the starting eleven of the women's "Team of the Season". Alejandro Grimaldo and Aleix Garcia have been selected as bench players in the men's team.
