The new coaching line-up under head coach Kasper Hjulmand
Head coach Kasper Hjulmand will lead his first training session at Bayer 04 tomorrow, Wednesday 10 September. This is his newly formed coaching team.
Hjulmand will be supported by assistant coaches Rogier Meijer and Sergi Runge. Meijer joined Bayer 04 in the summer and will remain in the role of assistant coach. The Spaniard Runge, who most recently coached the club's U19 team, will join the first team coaching staff. Andries Ulderink is leaving the club as is Alessandro Schoenmaker. Miguel Angel Campos Vasquez remains head of performance.
Marcel Daum, assistant coach analysis, and analyst Simon Lackmann continue their successful work at Bayer 04 and, together with goalkeeping coach David Thiel, are a permanent fixture in the Werkself coaching set-up.
The coaching staff will lead training from Wednesday and prepare the team for the Bundesliga home game against Eintracht Frankfurt at the BayArena on Friday, 12 September with the kick-off at 20.30 CEST.
