#B04FEY: match facts for women's game

One Bayer 04 Women’s team player is set for a reunion: Justine Brandau joined Leverkusen from Feyenoord at the end of June and is now set to face her former club at the season launch. Without their left-back, the Dutch side are still waiting for their first preseason friendly win: They lost 3-1 to FC Nordsjaelland from Denmark, and the matches against Eintracht Frankfurt (0–0) and OH Leuven from Belgium (2–2) ended in draws. Brandau and her new teammates will, of course, do everything in their power to ensure that Feyenoord come away empty-handed from the Ulrich Haberland Stadium too.

#B04SEV: match facts for men's game

Like the Werkself, Sevilla have a relatively new Spanish manager: Luis García Plaza took charge of the Andalusians at the end of March and averted the threat of relegation. Now, after four seasons in the lower half of the La Liga table, the club is looking to get back on a more stable footing. And, one day, surely back to the UEFA Europa League – a competition Sevilla have already won seven times, more than any other club.

While Carles Martínez can look forward to a suitable friendly opponent ahead of the upcoming campaign – including in the Europa League – Loïc Badé is set to face his former teammates: between 2023 and 2025, the centre-back made 79 appearances for Sevilla before moving on to Bayer 04. Incidentally, in their current preseason, the Andalusians have been almost as successful as the Werkself, with five wins from six matches.

Werkself Live

Want to keep track of all the action at the season launch? You can – with a look at the first Werkself Live of the new season! The matchday magazine, that provides a concise summary of the key facts and figures about the match, is available at the BayArena. Alternatively, a free online version is also available. Werkself-Live zur Saisoneröffnung

Both games available via live stream

As with the other Werkself friendlies, the season launch fixtures will also be livestreamed. The livestream of the women’s friendly against Feyenoord will begin a quarter of an hour before kick-off at 13:00 CEST. The live stream of the men’s friendly against Sevilla from the BayArena will begin at 15:10 CEST. As usual, the live text update service will also keep you up to date so you don’t miss a thing from the match. You can find the live streams on bayer04.de, on the Bayer 04 app and on Werkself-TV.

donation of returnable cups for a good cause

Once again this season, Bayer 04 fans at the BayArena can donate their deposit by placing their returnable cups in the containers provided. With the proceeds, the Bundesliga club, together with its fans, will once again be supporting six charitable projects in the region.
