'Rudi recounts…': Vollborn on highlights in October

Rüdiger Vollborn has been at the club for 40 years, he holds the record number of Bundesliga appearances for the club (401) and is the only Bayer 04 player to have won both the UEFA Cup (1988) and the DFB Pokal (1993). And the Berliner stayed with the Werkself after ending his impressive playing career as he worked as a goalkeeping coach for the following nine years. Vollborn now works under the Bayer Cross as a fan liaison officer and club archivist. Since February 2021, the personalised Black and Red lexicon takes Werkself fans under the heading of 'Rudi recounts...' on a brief trip through the history of Bayer 04 every month…

The Bayer 04 jersey competition is entering its third round: From 10 October and up to and including 29 November, raffle tickets can be purchased for five euros each at the Fanwelt on the south side of the BayArena for the chance to win one of two signed away jerseys. Longstanding partnership to continue: Bayer 04 and EVL extend

A strong and successful partnership that will be continued: Bayer 04 and Energieversorgung Leverkusen GmbH & Co. KG (EVL) have extended their contract for energy supply and related services until 30 June 2027. As part of this, EVL will continue to hold the naming rights to the family section at the BayArena.

Just over a year after Bayer 04 Leverkusen fans in the New York City area crowded into a beer garden in Brooklyn to celebrate Die Werkself with an early season Bundesliga win, another enthusiastic crowd dressed in black and red gathered at The Banshee pub in Boston on Saturday morning to watch the boys take down 1. FC Union Berlin, 2-0, on Matchday 6.
