They say a house is never finished. There's always something to do in terms of improvements and upgrades. That also applies to stadiums – our BayArena is also regularly updated. And that's the way it will be with our new website. We haven't just sat back after the launch and rested on our laurels. We have lots of plans.
Our website will be continuously developed and improved. The digital world does not take any breaks and user habits keep on changing. For example, we are currently working on interactive statistic components, called widgets, where data and facts are prepared graphically.
And videos from Bayer 04 TV are to be integrated more strongly and more dynamically on our site. Moving images are particularly in demand in the age of YouTube and Co. The upgrade of our web shop is also in full swing. And our live text commentary will also have new functions to enable a more intensive matchday experience.
Our Internet presence is a living website that should benefit from your suggestions. With all our ambition to continually make improvements we don't want to shoot wide of the mark. We primarily run the site for you, fans and friends of the Werkself. What drives us on is the desire to provide you with up-to-the-minute and reliable information, well researched and entertainingly written stories, films and impressive photos.
So we will remain on the ball for you in our digital new build.

There’s lots going on at the BayArena today. The home game against FSV Mainz 05 is all about the numerous Bayer 04 fan clubs, whose birth - the founding of the "1. Fanclub 1976 Leverkusen" - dates back 50 years. A number of fan club representatives will be involved in awards, a banner display and a half-time matchday chat, and the Werkself are set to play in a special white fan club jersey. During half-time, Leverkusen mayor Stefan Hebbel and javelin world champion Steffi Nerius will also talk about the Olympic bid involving Leverkusen. Black and Red fans are advised to get to the stadium in good time today. Matchday news.
