Breglec thereby takes over the scope of responsibilities held by Bernd Schröder, who left Bayer 04 at the end of last year to join FC Schalke 04 as CEO.
Fernando Carro, Bayer 04 CEO: “Markus Breglec is a recognised expert in his field. He has an impressive CV and he also impressed us on a personal level in all our discussions. We are certain his personality and ambition fits in really well with Bayer 04 and our targets. I’m looking forward to working together.”
