Kovar joins PSV Eindhoven on loan

Goalkeeper Matej Kovar is joining PSV Eindhoven on loan from Bayer 04 Leverkusen. The Netherlands champions have an option to buy if certain criteria are fulfilled. Czechia international keeper Kovar joined Leverkusen from Manchester United two years ago on a contract to 30 June 2027. With the transfer of the 25-year-old Kovar to the team managed by former Bayer 04 coach Peter Bosz, the Leverkusen goalkeeper line-up is now Mark Flekken, Lukas Hradecky and Niklas Lomb.

"Matej Kovar made an important contribution to our double win in 2024 with many appearances as the back-up to Lukas Hradecky. His aspiration now is to be a number one at a top club of Champions League quality," said Bayer 04 managing director sport Simon Rolfes . "We wish Matej lots of success in Eindhoven."

Timetable for training camp in Rio de Janeiro
