With Moussa Diaby and Jeremie Frimpong, the two top scorers and providers at Bayer 04 have been named in the league team of the year: Diaby has scored nine goals and provided nine assists in the Bundesliga this term, Frimpong has netted eight times and set up another six goals. In addition, the lightning fast duo on the wings have clocked up the most minutes on the pitch of all the Leverkusen outfield players with the exception of central defender Edmond Tapsoba.

Bayer 04 Leverkusen have loaned U19 midfielder Jeremiah Mensah to Dutch second-tier side Roda JC Kerkrade for one year. The 18-year-old Germany youth international has a long-term contract at the club to 2031.
