Last season, more fans than ever before supported the Werkself at away matches in Germany and throughout Europe, making a significant contribution to the team's historic success. For this reason, the fans, together with the Bayer 04 women and youth players, are presenting the new away kit this time. And it's a real visual treat!
The white shirt is adorned with grey stripes that run in a zigzag pattern from top to bottom across the jersey. Highlights are the copper-coloured Bayer 04 emblem on the left chest, the copper-coloured and embroidered supplier logo of the British premium brand Castore on the right chest and the optional lettering on the back in a shiny copper tone. The neck is adorned with copper-coloured "Werkself" lettering, while main sponsor Barmenia is depicted in black font on the chest. Of course, the golden champions badge also catches the eye on the away jersey.

The away shirt comes in a normal version as well as a women's jersey and pro version. The normal shirt is priced at €64.90 for children (sizes 134-164) and €89.90 for adults (sizes S-5XL). Women's jerseys are available in sizes 36-48 and also cost €89.90. The pro version, which is identical to what the players will wear on the road this season, comes in sizes S-2XL and costs €129.90.
The away jersey is available now in Bayer 04 shops as well as in the online store. Club members receive a 10% discount on shirts purchased. Not a Bayer 04 Club member yet? No problem, HERE is how to become one!
Holders of an away season ticket can also get a loyalty discount on the away shirt. Please look out for it in your email inbox.

Lying third in the Bundesliga, the Werkself made a faltering start in 2026 after the winter break, but gradually rediscovered winning ways and, as in the previous campaign, were among the top 16 in Europe and the top four in the DFB Pokal. In the Bundesliga, the Werkself also remained in the race for Champions League qualification right to the end. However, because setbacks repeatedly crept into the Werkself's performances between good displays and crucial games, it was not quite enough to secure a UCL spot in the end. A season with many ups and downs brought sixth place and qualification for the UEFA Europa League. Part II of the review of the 2025/26 season.

Following the final match of the 2025/26 season, the prevailing feeling was naturally one of disappointment after missing out on qualification for the Champions League. The Werkself finished the Bundesliga in sixth place, meaning they'll start the 2026/27 campaign in the Europa League. "But to talk negatively about everything now because of that would be wrong," stressed captain Robert Andrich following the final game, knowing that the past year at Bayer 04 was marked, more than almost any other, by the start of a new era and the courage to change – and in particular, the belief in a positive direction. Everyone was aware this process would need time. The first part of the 2025/26 season review.
