In his closing remarks, Simon Rolfes spoke of “excellent conditions. The quality we found here at the hotel and on the training ground was exceptionally good. It’s definitely an option to come back here next year – we’ve already put out feelers.” Commenting on the training sessions, the managing director sport said: “The squad trained very well and with great intensity; the atmosphere was excellent. It was a successful week for team cohesion and has laid the perfect foundation for the season ahead.”
We’d like to echo those sentiments and thank the Spa & GolfResort Weimarer Land for six brilliant days. See you tomorrow at the season launch at the BayArena.

The final training session in Blankenhain is over. It was another intense session, particularly during the final practice match involving three teams. Afterwards, Carles Martínez gathered the players, coaches and staff back on the pitch and thanked them for the past few days. Now it’s time to pack our bags, say our goodbyes – and then focus fully on the season launch.

The final hours here at the training camp in the Weimarer Land have begun. The Werkself are currently having breakfast together for the last time, after which they will head down to the pitch one last time on their bikes and in golf buggies. There are quite a few ‘last times’ here today. But don’t worry, the excitement continues straight away: tomorrow brings the season launch. All the details, including information on ticket sales, can be found HERE. But first, it’s time for the final training session.

Kicking off the new season with a fresh look: Bayer 04, in collaboration with sportswear manufacturer New Balance, has unveiled the official kit for Leverkusen’s e-Sports players for the coming season. The jersey is now available from the Bayer 04 online shop and the Fanwelt.

Paulo Sergio and Bayer 04 have enjoyed close ties since the Werkself training camp in his native Brazil last summer. The club legend is in charge of the Bayer 04 Soccer Academy, which opened in the summer of 2025, and he has also been at this year’s training camp in the Weimarer Land. As well as interacting with the many fans who travelled to the camp, the 1994 World Cup winner used the time to plan the next steps for the Academy together with club officials. In an interview with bayer04.de, Sergio spoke about the project’s future development, the upcoming visit by young Academy players to Leverkusen, and plans for the coming months in Germany and Brazil.
