This was followed by a minute's silence in memory of the members who had died in the past year. Heinz Schäfer (97 years), Peter M. Kropmanns (88), Helmut Heinz (83) and Roman Klossek (46) were remembered on behalf of all members. The latter, commercial director of Bayer 04's performance centre, was killed in a car accident in Leverkusen in August 2024.
