Bayer 04 agree new deal with assistant coach Zembrod

"Xaver has worked brilliantly here since joining the club. He has an outstanding relationship with the first team squad and he is very good at spotting talent from our youth teams," declared Bayer 04 sporting director Simon Rolfes. "Xaver's wealth of experience as a coach makes him an important part of our long-term planning and he will play a significant role in the team under head coach Peter Bosz," added Rolfes.

For Zembrod, the contract extension means "the continuation of a bond of trust and I'm very happy about it.  The team and Bayer 04 with all their members of staff are dear to me.
