In the second week of the international break, the Werkself players Odilon Kossounou, Patrik Schick, Nadiem Amiri, Gustavo Puerta, Timothy Fosu-Mensah, Ayman Aourir and Noah Mbamba plus Xabi Alonso, along with his fellow coaches, made the trip to Wuppertal.
