
The new Werkself third shirt represents the regional rivers of the Wupper, Dhünn and Rhine, which converge in Leverkusen, in the form of white lines on a cyan blue background. As with the 2023/24 home shirt, the new third shirt shows the local connection of Bayer 04 to the city of Leverkusen. The logo of kit supplier Castore and the Bayer 04 logo match the colour of the design.
Bayer 04 fans have again been involved in the planning process and the design of the third kit as with previously presented shirts for the forthcoming season.
The shirt has a unisex cut and is available for adults in sizes S to 5XL at a price of €84.90. Children shirts are available in sizes 128-164 are available for €64.90. Names of Werkself players or players from the Bayer 04 Women's squad can be added at a price of €14.90 and individual wording selections cost €19.90.
The Werkself will wear the new third kit on Saturday 12 August (kick-off: 15.30 CEST) in the first round of the DFB Cup against FC Teutonia 05 Ottensen to be played at the Millerntor Stadium in Hamburg.

Bayer 04 Leverkusen have agreed a conract extension with home-grown talent Sofie Zdebel by a further year ahead of schedule. The 21-year-old Germany U23 international will stay at the club until 30 June 2028.

Bayer 04 could only manage a 1-1 draw at home to Hamburg in the final game of the 2025/26 Bundesliga season as they finish in sixth place and qualify for the UEFA Europa League. Patrik Schick missed a first-half penalty before Fabio Vieira put the visitors ahead on the hour. Jarell Quansah’s deflected header in the 79th minute earned a point to finish the campaign.

Jonas Omlin was given an official send-off ahead of the final Bundesliga game of the season at home to Hamburg. The 32-year-old Swiss goalkeeper joined the Werkself on loan for the second half of the campaign from Borussia Mönchengladbach in the winter.
