Werkself win 1-0 in final friendly against FC Copenhagen
The Werkself clocked up a win in the fourth and final friendly in the winter break on Sunday 15 January. The team under head coach Xabi Alonso beat the Danish champions FC Copenhagen 1-0. The only goal of the game in front of 8,096 spectators at the BayArena, including winter signing Noah Mbamba (Club Brugge), was scored on 69 minutes by substitute Amine Adli. Bayer 04 play the first competitive match in 2023 next weekend away to Borussia Mönchengladbach.
