Landwehr faced Paderborn's Wirth in the second game. The 20-year-old Leverkusen player lost 2-0. The third and deciding match saw Mario ‘BULJI’ Lovrinovic representing the Black and Reds against Büscher for SCP. The clash ended in a 1-1 draw with both teams taking one point. The defeat against Wolfsburg in the early evening sees Leverkusen drop to ninth place on eight points.
The #B04eSports team now face two intense encounters: Matchdays nine and ten in the VBL CC are on Sunday 4 December. First there is the digital derby against FC Köln (from 15.30 CET) who are currently second in the North West division. That is followed at 18.30 CET by the match against the league leaders, Hansa Rostock, who finished top of the North West division last season. Both the Rhinelanders and the team from the Baltic coast have not suffered an overall defeat this term. Rostock are top with 19 points and the Cologne team are second on 17 points.

After a strong first half, the Werkself conceded twice against Newcastle United in the UEFA Champions League but fought back and " deservedly earned the draw at the end", as captain Robert Andrich aptly put it. With his late equaliser (88') in the Champions League clash against Newcastle United, the Spaniard rescued a point for the Werkself, who took the lead through an own goal by Newcastle's Bruno Guimaraes (13') but went with two goals for the visitors scored by Anthony Gordon (51') and Lewis Miley (74'). It was the third draw for Bayer 04 in the current 2025/26 campaign on matchday 6 in the UCL league phase.

The Werkself will be looking to continue their run in the Champions League against Newcastle United on Wednesday, 10 December (kick-off: 21:00 CET).
