Nothing can beat watching a game live. Being at the heart of the action in matches involving our Werkself, cheering them on, giving everything for the best possible support to succeed in winning three points together – that's why we are fans of Bayer 04. Through our live text commentary we want to keep the fans, who are not at the stadium, up-to-date with all the key information in and around matches so they can also experience the match in our Bayer 04 way.
That is why we put the homepage in live commentary mode an hour before kick-off. What does that mean? It's simple: We have developed a matchday dashboard. Let's suppose you are fans of the Werkself and are living in Hamburg, Berlin or in Timbuktu. It doesn't matter where. You definitely don't always have the opportunity to get to the stadium but instead are sitting at your computer or tablet. Then you'll love the matchday dashboard.
This mode splits the screen into independent sections. The top of the dashboard contains the most important information such as scoreline, venue and date. On the one side, there is the live text commentary that our editors continually feed with information at games, including away matches. Match action, photos, goals, bookings, substitutions, atmosphere – it's all there. It's almost like being there yourself.
Our aim is to take you with us and let you share in everything to do with the current match. Of course, on the side of your screen with the live text commentary you'll be able to read the team line-ups including the players on the bench.
On the other side of the screen we offer you all matchday-relevant social media posts on our Bayer 04 channels. Here we also take into account your posts entered via Facebook, Twitter or Instagram. We value your opinions, input and ideas. In addition, we will provide you with all possible statistics on the Werkself and the opposition. The most important events in the match will be presented in chronological order on a timeline.
You can see all this without having to leave the live text commentary. You will find everything on the particular match bundle together and clearly presented on one screen – that can be a computer, laptop, tablet or smart phone. Of course, all the content is designed for all devices.
So wherever you are: Our matchday dashboard will keep you up-to-date, wherever you are in the world, on all the Werkself games and events – in an exciting and comprehensive manner. Only being at the game is better...
