We would have liked him to stay longer but we completely understand his desire to return to the DFB. We will keep in contact due to his new role. Daniel is always welcome at the BayArena,” said sporting director Rudi Völler.
Niedzkowski believes the three years spent at Bayer 04 were “very successful on the sporting level and I had a great time here. Intensive cooperation with three different head coaches brought a wealth of experience and I’m very grateful for that. The move to the DFB provides me with a very attractive opportunity to share that experience with coaches working to get into professional football management and support them along the way.”
