The right-footer finished third in the league with Sparta Prague last season, he played in the Czech cup final and was involved in 23 goals in 33 league matches (9 goals and 14 assists). “It’s great for me to have been signed by one of the best clubs in the Bundesliga,” declared Hlozek, who made his first team debut at the age of 16 and he has already clocked up 105 top-flight appearances. “I’ve regularly watched Bayer 04 Leverkusen over the past few weeks. The team plays wonderful football. Being part of this team fills me with great hope and expectations.”

The Werkself finally won for the first time in 2026, beating Werder Bremen 1-0 on Bundesliga Matchday 19. Lucas Vázquez scored the only goal of the game after 37th minutes with his maiden strike for Bayer 04.
